BACKGROUND: The proportion of dendritic cell subpopulations in the skin is important for
the severity of atopic dermatitis because topical treatment with tacrolimus leads to rapid
depletion of inflammatory dendritic epidermal cells, whereas Langerhans cells (LCs)
